Investing in residential property

Advice for landlords

Investing in residential property

Meeting gas safety regulations

The purchase of residential property for investment purposes has become increasingly popular with the introduction of 'buy-to-let' mortgages and the continued favourable level of interest rates. Prospective investors should be careful to seek advice before making any commitment, as the entry and exit costs of owning property are high and the liquidity is not always available in a short time-frame. However, increasing capital values for residential property both in London and the country and good rental returns has made property an attractive investment option. Property needs to be managed and looked after and these costs also need to be taken into account.
